Review | The Body Shop Seaweed Deep Cleansing Facial Wash

The most important part of skin care (and I'm sure everyone will agree with me on this) is having a good cleanser to cleanse away any makeup, excess oils and impurities. Not only does having a good cleanser clean the skin on your face, it prevents black heads and spots. NO ONE likes black heads and spots. Trust me. The great thing about cleansers is that you do not have to spend a fortune, as drugstores do a variety of great cleansers for any skin type to exist and a low, purse friendly price. I think this is great because teenagers are at the stage where their skin decides to do all sorts of weird, scary things and they may not have the kind of money to splash out on an expensive brand cleanser. And to be honest, they really don't have to.

My favourite all time cleanser is the one by The Body Shop from their seaweed range. At first, I bought a mini version of this to test it and it was basically love at first sight. At the cost of just 7 pounds for 100ml of product, this is heaven sent. I have combination skin but I can get oh so oily in the T-zone towards the end of the day. This cleanser is great for oily (and maybe combination) skin types, it does exactly what it says on the tin squeezy tube. Because it is very mild, I use it every morning and every night before I go to bed, let me tell you this, throw away your makeup wipes (or only bring them out when you had a long day and simply can't be bothered to cleanse your face), this stuff will remove every little molecule of makeup, even bloody stubborn mascarra! Literally. This stuff also removes impurities, excess oils and leaves my skin fresh, shine free yet hydrated. I did also try the toner for this range and finished a mini sized bottle, but I never re-purchased it. I didn't dislike it when I used to use it, but me personally, I'm not a big toner girl. But that's just me. :)

The only thing I dislike about the cleanser is the packaging as it takes a lot of strength to squeeze out some product into your palm especially at night when you just want to get it over and done with.

After I use this at night, I pat my face dry with a face towel and follow on with their seaweed night treatment which basically provides moisture where it's needed whilst balancing out the oils in my skin and leaves my skin fresh, hydrated and clear so it can repair whilst I get some beauty sleep :P
